Corona Update 5 Jan 2021

With the exponentially increasing numbers of positive Covid tests, the latest announcement of lockdown measures was looking ever more likely. With a large number of sales in conveyance, the lockdown measures have this time allowed for the activities around both sales and lettings to continue, whilst abiding by the most stringent of Covid-Safe protocols.

These include the viewings of homes which can physically take place, but with all our properties now featured with virtual 3D tours, everyone can take advantage of these online before deciding whether a trip out to view in person is worthwhile.

Utilising the latest technologies has proven to be invaluable as we all prepare to be available as usual from our virtual offices. Many of the solicitors involved in conveyancing have continued to work from home since last Spring, so for most there should be little discernible change in the process with these latest restrictions in force. In fact all the services around property activities and the supply chain, whether it be EPC’s, surveys right through to removals remain available.

Paramount to all that we do is to ensure all our customers and our staff stay safe, deploying extra measures where appropriate for those more vulnerable than others, and our virtual door is always open to discuss on the phone, Zoom or WhatsApp how we can manage your transaction safely and successfully.

Hoping that you are all keeping safe and well,

James Harper Wills & Smerdon
